Belize Tour Operator

Cayo Adventure Tours was started in 1992 by Elbert Flowers and Ces Neal of Santa Elena, Cayo.  Back in those days Elbert had only one cargo van, and with house windows welded into the side panels, they started offering tours to the Maya Ruins and national parks in the area.  Over the years however, with a lot of hard work and dedication, they built what was to become the most notable Belize adventure company of Cayo, Belize. 

By the year 2000 Cayo Adventure Tours had acquired a fleet of ten vehicles and the services of some of the best tour guides in the region.  Then in 2004, much to the delight of Elbert and Ces, the company won the “Belize Tour Operator of the Year” award granted by the Belize Tourism Board.

Much satisfied with their accomplishments in tourism, in 2009 Elbert and Ces decided to sell the company to Michael and Maria Simmons, long time friends of the Flowers family.  Being a part of the Belize tourism industry for many years, and having worked as front desk manager and reservations manager for some of the most prominent resorts in Belize, Michael was well prepared to take over the helm of the fledging company.  So, with much excitement and enthusiasm, Michael and Maria set off as the new owners and managers of Cayo Adventure Tours with a resolve to maintain and increase the high level of professionalism and sound practices that the company has become known for. 

Today, the central office of Cayo Adventure Tours is located at 29 Burns Avenue, San Ignacio, Cayo.  With a fleet of three tour buses, two vans, and five SUV’s; and with the services of several professional Belize tour guides and field naturalists dedicated to the company; the company is still the most reliable and competent Belize Tour Operator in town.
